The attack occurred on the day Ukraine celebrated the day of victory over Nazism during World War II.
Russia has repeatedly carried out attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure during the war in the third year and has taken thousands of lives.
Officials say the attacks have damaged nearly half of Ukrainian energy infrastructure since Moscow launched its attack on Ukraine in February 2022.
According to Energy Commission Chairman Andri Herus, the damage is estimated to be $12.5 billion.
President Zelensky noted that the attack took place the day Ukraine marked the victory over Nazism during World War II and added that only if the world is united can stop President Vladimir Putin.
During the night hours, Russia launched 55 rockets and 21 Shahed drones, Ukrainian Air Force announced. Mykola Oleschuk air force component said 39 rockets and 20 drones were dropped.
Russian troops also damaged the railway line at Kherson.
