The visit is held at a time when Kyriakos Mitsotakis has included Himara's elected mayor on the list of 42 candidates in the race for a mandate in the European Parliament, but the Albanian side has tried to refute any link between Rama's selected date and the “Beler” case.

For this reason the deputy of the new “Democracy”, Nikitas Kaklamanis, speaking at a television studio, said that logic to expect Edi Rama as he is the leader of a country where human rights do not exist.

Meanwhile, Albanian rally organisers have not yet reached an official agreement on the location to be held, while “Kathmerini” claimed earlier that the municipality has revoted the rally permit, which was scheduled to be held near the Galats stadium.

These delays and rejections according to Greek media “micropolikos” have caused a frustration of Prime Minister Rama himself.

At that, according to the newspaper “Ta Nea”, Rama will be the main speaker in the event, which despite the country's non-confirmation, will be held in Galatsi, where an audience of 5,000 SP supporters are expected.
