“Remove measures”- Government makes “strong with Stanon because it told Kurt that it does not decide for EU measures

Kosovo Government spokesman Progress Kryeziu has said the European Union has wrongly imposed measures on Kosovo.

The mayor on the “X” platform said Kosovo was unfairly blamed for escalation in the north and added that after the extension has taken place the measures must be removed.

The mayor on the platform “X” has posted two photos from Zvecani, one of the riots in May last year where Serb protesters attacked KFOR soldiers before the Communist object and another posted photo of Zvecan Mayor Ilir Peci, leaving last of the municipality's target unhindered.

“Rest is simple. The EU imposed measures against Kosovo after it falsely blamed us for the escalation that led to the event in photo 1. Photo 2 shows Zvecan's chairman leaving the same building without stumbling. Deceleration has occurred. Hence, measures must be removed”, Kryeziu wrote.

EU spokesperson for Foreign Policy and Security Peter Stano has said Thursday at the media conference that the EU imposed measures against Kosovo, the cause of <x0-cycracies, unilateral decisions and espasses in relation to Serbia”. 

“So they will be removed as member states decide. I repeat when member states decide, not when Kosovo politicians decide. So when member states decide that there is no more reason to keep the measures in place. And this has not happened so far, member states continue discussions and these are internal processes”, Stano said.
