Through a post on the social network “X”, the head of the Albanian state said this is a historic moment.
I welcome today's approval by the European Council of the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans. This marks an important historical moment preceding the beginning of its implementation, for which we are fully prepared and enthusiastic”, Rama wrote.
He then added that Albania has presented a “Aegean reform”, which, as he said, will be executed over the next three years. This agenda, according to him, aims to offer the country with the future envisioned as an integral part of the European family.
The growth “Plant injects new momentum into the enlargement process with particular emphasis in key areas such as rule of law, transparency and reforms. Furthermore, it presents new financial resources to Western Balkan countries, depending on their respective performance. It's just fantastic to see everything happening after you've been trying for it for some time. Thank you, everyone involved. Albania has presented an extremely ambitious #Angela reform that will be executed over the next three years. This agenda aims to offer the country with the future envisioned as an integral part of the European family. I look forward to discussions at the upcoming summit in mid-May in picturesque Montenegro”, the Albanian prime minister wrote further.
