Rakiq reaches agreement with the Prosecutor for guilty pleas for incorrect property reporting

Goran Rakic, who is charged with failing to submit the required data on the property declaration form, has reached agreement on pleas with the Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina.

This has been confirmed by the “Justice Bet” prosecutor's spokeswoman, Laureta Ulaj.

According to the indictment compiled from May 2nd 2024 by the Pristina Constitutional Prosecutor, Rakiq, in the quality of the Ministry for Communities and Kttim's ministry, has willfully acted in opposition to Article 5 of the Law for Declaration, Undertaking and Control of the Riches of High Public Officials, so that even though he was obliged to make a statement of property in the property statement form, he did not accurately submit the required data.

The Actakuz says Rakiq, on the form for property statements submitted on March 31st 2021, did not accurately submit the required data for 2020, respectively, has not declared annual revenues benefited from the post as assistant to the High Economic School in Pec and office at the Public Company “Standard” in Mitrovica.

By these actions, Rakiq is accused of committing criminal work by the corruption chapter “No false reporting or reporting of wealth, income, gift or other material benefit or financial obligations”, by Article 430, paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo, The work is punishable by fine and imprisonment of six months to five years.
