Kosovo police have announced that in Monday's action, they have closed 6 units of the Savings Post Bank in the country's north.
Kosovo's “Police, following reports of financial monitoring institutions, such as the Kosovo Financial Intelligence Unit and Central Bank, along with the Kosovo Tax Administration, based on authorisation of the competent prosecutor, is conducting a police operation at six locations in the four municipalities in northern Kosovo, which are the so-called Saving Post Bank (Banka Postanske Stedionice) and five other subsidiarys, who have acted illegally in this area of the Republic of Kosovo <18x>, the Police Report reported.
According to the announcement, this police operation is under way in co-operation and co-ordination with Kosovo's relevant institutions and justice bodies, and that it has now passed without any problems or incidents.
The purpose of the police operation is to establish order and legitimacy, with the authorisation of the competent prosecutor six units of the so-called Illegal Savings Bank, north of the country, said the report.
