The director of the so-called Office for Kosovo in Serbia's Government, Petar Petkovovic, has talked today with ambassadors and representatives of the QUINT countries in Belgrade and with the chief of the European Union Delegation to Serbia for the new round of dialogue next to Brussels. As he said, once again the main theme is “creation [...]
As he said, once again the main theme is Pristina's subx0 unilateral and illegalisation of payment transactions to the dinar in Kosovo”, the Office for Kosovo announced.
Petkovic stressed that the issue of using the dinar in Kosovo should be resolved as soon as possible, because, as he estimated, the decision to lift its use threatens the survival of the Serb people in the province and questions the functioning and existence of all Serbian institutions.
“This will be the seventh consecutive meeting in Brussels regarding Pristina's decision to remove the dinar in Kosovo and Metohija, but unfortunately all previous meetings have shown that there is no realistic approach or Pristina political will to solve this problem. Petkovic stressed that Belgrade has so far submitted a set of concrete proposals, which the other side has rejected and that all responsibility for resolving this situation is Pristina's, which is solely guilty of causing the” crisis, was said in the statement.
