Periscop report confirmed: Government extends deadline for population registration by 24 May

Two days ago Periscope has reported that deadline for population registration will be extended And this was confirmed today by the Government of Kosovo, which at today's meeting extended the deadline for population registration by 24 May.

This has happened at an electronic meeting following requests from several municipalities.

The deadline for registration by the diaspora has been extended until August 31st.

The government of the Republic of Kosovo has held an electronic meeting in which, at the request of the municipality of Dragas, Pristina, Prizren, Drenas, Fushë Kosova, Skotire, Obilik, Ferizaj, Shtrpce, Kacaknik and Gjakova has approved the decision to extend the registration process of Population, Family Economy and residences by 24 May 2024.

Under the Kosovo Statistics Agency proposal, from May 18th to May 24th, the census/interviews will be conducted only by the regular staff of the Kosovo Statistics Agency, which will cover the entire territory of Kosovo for cases when an individual or family economy is identified that for whatever reason could not be registered earlier.

Meanwhile, with proposals from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora and the Kosovo Statistics Agency, the diaspora census, through the diaspora portal, is postponed until August 31st, 2024.

For more details, Kosovo Statistics Agency will come up with a communique and publicise the action plan for the period of additional registration from 18-24 May 2024.
