Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani on Monday has met with US Deputy Assistant Secretary from the Bureau for Democracy, Human Rights and Work, Nicole Chulick.
Osmani points out the importance of successfully completing Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe.
It has estimated that this would be additional guarantees for the preservation and promotion of human rights, democracy and rule of law in Kosovo.
“At the meeting has been discussed for recent developments, further deepening of Kosovo co-operation- The US, as well as Kosovo's continued achievements in strengthening democracy, rule of law and human rights. On the topic of human rights, President Osmani has said that Kosovo has the most advanced legal framework in Europe, which stems from the Constitution of the Republic. In this direction, President Osmani has stressed Kosovo's commitment to preserving multiethnicity and protecting human rights for all Kosovo citizens indiscriminately. In this case, it has determined the importance of successfully completing membership in the Council of Europe, as additional guarantees for the preservation and promotion of human rights, democracy and rule of law in the country”, has been announced by the presidency.
Osmani has said that any success of Kosovo also bears the stamp of the United States and has confirmed commitment to further continued co-operation in that spirit.
Chulick has also met with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti on Monday.
