US Assistant Secretary of the Bureau for European and Eurasian Affairs James O'Brien is participating in the EU-Western Balkans Summit, which is being held in Kotor.
O'Brien at the summit where the Development Plan is being discussed said the US supports this plan, as it concerns 18 million people and their future.
“Later this year, countries that meet reforms will join the unique European market at low prices. So every time someone sends money through the bank, there will be smaller expenses. This has to do with benefits for the citizens of the region and joining the unique European market”, O'Brien said.
Furthermore, O'Brien said the US is excited to see the official launch of this initiative and that the United States believes it is vital to help the Western Balkans meet its potential.
