Democratic League of Kosovo MP Armend Zemaj says a budget misuse is taking place in health and that investments are only becoming spent budget.
Zemaj says recent investments by the Ministry of Health that are under way are hindering patients from receiving health services.
He added that health professionals have been damaged because of political beliefs and have been forced to leave the public sector in private as well as abroad.
We welcome every investment that is made in our clinics, but the way they are made and continues to do with a strategy is hindering the patient and service delivery, especially from the last election year. This is both as a warning, but also as a misuse throughout the entire budget that has been over the years is now trying to spend it on anyone who gets the chance. Good internal management is creating a good working environment, eliminating interventions as seen in these years by professionals have been punished because of political beliefs, and there have come people without competence in management leadership, many have been forced to leave private institutions above all abroad, and that is the greatest concern”, Zemaj said.
Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Bekim Haxhiu says health in recent governance has deteriorated.
Haxhiu considers it a major failure to meet working conditions against health professionals, who, as a result, are leaving the country and the private sector.
The total failure of this government in the health sector, not that our health has been in a high stage, but with this governance in our health has gotten worse in relation to the past years. It has been a government inability to take action in time to prevent the departure of health professionals even from the public sector in the private sector, but also from Kosovo to European Union countries. I proposed a strategy to stop and improve the conditions of health workers in the public sector a year ago. As long as we don't achieve working conditions and dignified salaries for health professionals in the public sector, of course they have to escape in the private sector. You've seen cases of anesthesiologists who most have abandoned the public sector have gone to the private sector because the private sector has offered you better conditions”, Haxhiu says.
MP The PDK says that in one way or another, the government has shown itself unable to take action for better health workers' conditions.
The “has been a government inability to in time take actions to prevent the departure of health professionals and from the public sector in the private sector, but also from Kosovo to the European Union countries. The total failure of this government in the health sector not that our health has been a high stage, but with this governance in our health has gotten even worse in relation to past years”, Haxhiu says. /EO/
