This party's MP, Avdullah Hoti, has said on Monday at a table on the theme: “Public Money Abuse by the Government of Kosovo” that all data is based on the assessment of facts and data presented by the executive himself.
“In terms of property tax that we've been addressing in order to continue, we've been at this table at the beginning of last year where we've had a broad debate on increasing property tax without any preliminary analysis and at the peak of inflation that has been 2020-23, citizens and businesses during 2023 have paid 33 with a lot of property taxes on how much in the preliminary year without any need, Hoti said.
According to him, an additional element in property tax is the establishment of progressive property taxes, which is an abnormality of political opposition to public finances.
The deployment of these stairs will severely penalise businesses and citizens who have property, mainly in urban areas”, he stressed.
Hoti has also talked about spending on goods and services, saying these are major problems along with capital investment expenses.
“over the past year, in fact complete during this mandate, purchases for state reserves have been 21m euros, these are already being investigated and there is no evidence either citizens or us as MPs have come to those goods that have paid the state budget that is not known where they are or where they have come from, the LDK deputy noted.
While this party's deputy, Hykmete Bajrami, has had criticism of the way public money is spent. According to her, a large portion has gone for subsidies and transfers
“Centers of millions of euros have been destined for subsidies and transfers, but all of this has been hidden in different voices such as contingents and other things and the minister of finance every time he saw that he has a low perception of the government is sitting in the office, making a decision and distributed hundreds of millions of euros of these for three years, including 881m euros<1>, Bajrami said.
The criticism includes the other LDK deputy, Armend Zemaj. According to him, the value of the contract for essential drugs is over 300 percent more expensive.
It is important that the citizens of Kosovo, especially for the health sector that is proven that we have received information that after drafting the list of essential drugs, the value of the contracts for medicines that have been created with the insistence of this government is 330 percent more expensive than those previous year favors are set for separate companies”, Zemaj said.
Also on this table was said that capital investments have been at the historic low level ever, falling to 11 per cent of the budget, compared to about 20% that have been in the preliminary governments.
