The two also signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to strengthen co-operation between the United States and Kosovo to combat manipulation of information from the foreign state. “These countries have joined in the joint recognition that manipulation of foreign state information, which includes dezination and propaganda, is a threat to transnational security that could create or exploit divisions within and among countries, jeopardise electoral integrity and undermine public confidence in the government. Through this memorandum of understanding, the United States and Kosovo aim to enhance information exchange, build capacities for critical programming against dezinformation and harmonise government policies about five key areas of action defined in the Framework. This expanded bilateral co-operation between the United States and Kosovo to combat the manipulation of information by foreign states advances the two countries' common interest in ensuring a global open, fact-based ecosystem of free information”, the UN report said.

The Undersecretary underlined the continued strong support of the United States for the EU's facilitated dialogue efforts to reach a comprehensive normalisation agreement with Serbia”, the UN municipality says.
“Under the Secret Office shared its observations from its time in Kosovo, including its interaction with Kosovo's dynamic and different youth, and called for increased co-ordination between our governments to support Kosovo's progress on its Euro-Atlantic path”, said in the communique.
