It has been 25 years since Serbian criminal forces killed 116 innocent Albanians in Studies, who were pulled out of the column of hundreds of people who had taken their way to Albania.
In marking the anniversary of the massacre, even the president of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, along with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, have attended the Memorial Academy on the anniversary of the Vushtrri Studies massacre.
We're here at the 25th anniversary to remember 116 civilians between them children and pregnant women. It is hard to express how we still have to face wounds and pain as yet as a nation, where our citizens have experienced terrible massacres. It is evidence of how necessary our struggle for freedom was. We will protect this truth everywhere and whenever. It was a war to protect our identity and our country. Justice will be decided no matter how late it will be, Osmani said
Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said there is no peace without justice for victims.
In less than two hours, unarmed civilians were killed by the regular Serbian Army. The massacre is listed between the massacres of Albanians and that of Srebrenica. So these months we devote ourselves to the slaughter of victims. The number of massacres also evidence of Serbian genocide. We are clear about our request for justice. Being universal justice for victims, this is the only condition for peace”
On the other hand, Mayor Ferit Idriz called for unity.
Twenty-five years ago, blood was spilled, the blood that brought the blood of the martyrs here. KLA and NATO. We are not satisfied with justice, there is selection of justice. Justice has not spoken their word. Liberations are being held on fabricated charges. As never before, we need to be unified”
