Krasniqi for AAK's LDK: I find it hard to understand and reason why they refused elections

Krasniqi said at a media conference that the distribution of the Assembly was the only real possibility.

Even for us the resignation has been the preferred way of going to the elections, but we all know that the real opportunity on the table was just the distribution of the Assembly. Therefore, seeing the great need for the country to go to the elections, the mandate to return to citizens, for us the goal was more important than the” approach, Krasniqi said.

He said that “Kosovo is wasting valuable time, important processes and friends worth the consequence of this governing mentality”.

Thus, Krasniqi said he did not understand why the LDK and the AAK did not support him on the idea of going to elections through the distribution of the Assembly.

Unfortunately, our colleagues from opposition parties were not ready as we were. Perhaps they need more time, but the time under this government is going to harm citizens”, Krasniqi said.

He said such a thing does not remember happening in the history of parliamentary democracy.

The refusal to go to early elections is truly surprising to me. I don't want to speculate whether opposition parties are unprepared, do they need more time, but one thing I know, I don't remember any other case in the history of parliamentary democracy where the government says to go to the elections, I'm ready, and the opposition says, continue the mandate until the end. This is hard for me to understand, but I find it hard to reason with”, Krasniqi said.
