Kosovo is accustomed to early elections: Parliament Monitors say elections can be organised and held

If the Assembly is achieved to be distributed and the country goes to early elections, as the opposition claims on June 30th, representatives of the Parliament's work consider that these elections can be organised and held. According to them, Kosovo is accustomed to early and extraordinary elections, as, so far, no legislature has completed its four-year mandate.

Opposition parties in the country are aiming for the country to go to early elections and these elections to be held on June 30th. Radio Kosovo has asked for answers from the Central Election Commission to see if they are ready for early elections, but so far we have not received answers. Meanwhile, according to election process monitors Kosovo can prepare early elections, as according to them, so far neither a legislature has completed its four-year mandate.

Ehat Miftari, from the Kosovo Institute for Justice, has said that whatever time it takes to distribute the Parliament, institutions should be ready to prepare the election process.

“at any time when political parties express interest in the distribution of the government's Parliament or dismissal, then institutions under law and Constitution, should always be ready to organise elections, in an optimum term, as the Constitution defines it and the” laws, Miftari has indicated for Radio Kosovo.

Eugen Cakoli, from the Kosovo Democratic Institute, has said that although Kosovo is used to early and extraordinary elections, according to him, the new electoral framework could present problems in the election process.

The fact that we may have early legal elections with the new framework shows a problem in itself, although the CEC has managed to somehow consist of the secondary legal framework for these changes, however, the very fact that it will be this vote outside the physical country at the embassies, which will have the number of candidates voting in municipal polling stations, and many other changes will make the election process more vulnerable than the previous times the <x1), Cacol has declared.

Unlike the PDK, they have said they are working intensively to file no-confidence motions against the government, but the LDK and AAK are demanding that the Government resign so that the way for early elections can be opened. On the other hand, the ruling party, Vetevendosje, has expressed readiness to go to the polls, but is calling on the opposition to have unity to bring down the government.
