Italy: Including in drug trafficking, 4 Albanians are identified and declared in search

Albanian and Italian police have been involved during today in a joint operation codenamed "Car Wash."

Through a report, police announce that the operation under way in Italy aims to locate and arrest members of a drug trafficking criminal organization.

In the context of this operation, citizens M were identified and declared at large. B., 34, residents in Tirana and U. B., 36, resident of Debar, brothers, as well as citizens E. P., 39, residents in Tirana and B. G., 31, resident of Vlora, writes Euronews. al

All four of these citizens are charged by authorities in Italy for criminal work “Narcotics trafficking”, conducted within the criminal organisation.

Police announcement:

Since the early hours of the morning, State Police facilities have been involved in a joint operation with the Italian Police, codenamed “Car Sish”.

The operation, initiated and currently developing in Italy, aimed at tracking down and arresting members of a drug trafficking criminal organization.

As a result of investigative work, exchange of information and other operational actions, shared with the Italian Police, within the framework of the international operation “Card Wash”, citizens were identified and declared in search of M. B., 34, residents in Tirana and U. B., 36, resident of Debar, brothers, as well as citizens E. P., 39, residents in Tirana and B. G., 31, resident of Vlora.

All 4 of these citizens are accused by authorities in Italy of criminal activity “Narcotic trafficking”, conducted within the criminal organisation.

Research, controls and other operational actions, co-ordinated with Italy's Police, are in place with the aim of localising and placing the 4 citizens in custody.
