This marked the strongest warning to this day.
But can Israel achieve its goals without American weapons?
British military analyst Sean Bell says “is very likely to beat”, reports Skynews.
“Although the U.S. has said it is banning supply of weapons, it will not stop supply of defence weapons”, he says.
Bell says Israel will have significant “stock” and will use them if the decision is made to go to Rafah.
“Rafah is also a relatively small area, so it seems unlikely that there is any significant military effect”, the analyst confirmed, and added that the American president's comments are only “political declaration”.
The International Court of Justice said Israel must do more to protect the civilian population and any nation that offers weapons to a country that later uses them in opposition to international law, also becomes vulnerable”, he says.
I think this is a really clear statement from President Biden. He doesn't want to get dirty like everybody else. I don't think it will have a military impact, but I think this is a reflection of the disappointment that Biden feels with the actions of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyah”, he concluded.
Otherwise, Israeli troops are expected to expand the scale of the offensive in Rafah following the first attacks of past days.
Israel has launched an offensive on Palestinian territories on 7 October following Hamas' terrorist attack on the Israeli state. So far, 34,262 Palestinians and 1,410 Israelites have been killed. /Telegraphy/
