Iranians have begun gathering in cities across the country to pay their last respects to President Ebrahim Reis after he was killed along with the country's foreign minister when a helicopter carrying him crashed into a mountainous area northwest of Iran.
On Monday, Tehran's Supreme Leader, Ayatolah Ali Khamenei declared five days of mourning. Even student exams have been canceled.
They are also preparing for the organisation of presidential elections, which will be held on 28 June, the BBC reports.
