Historical failure today in KiE, Hasani urges Government to fulfil pledges

Albania's top diplomat, Igli Hasani, has confirmed that today it has definitely failed to deploy to the agenda of the Committee of Ministers points for Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe. Hasani has said it is a lost historical opportunity for Kosovo to have a country deserved in the Council of Europe and a stronger voice in shaping a united and democratic Europe.

He has said it is necessary for Kosovo to act quickly to fulfil its pledges.

“It is necessary for the Government of Kosovo to act quickly to fulfil the pledges it has taken and to engage constructively with its established international partners and supporters”, Hasani has written.

Hasan adds that this should be followed with collective efforts to hold another Committee of Ministers meeting in the near future
