US Ambassador to Kosovo Jeffrey Havenier, together with colleagues from the embassy today, have held a minute of silence before the embassy's entry.
Hovenier said today the US Embassy in Pristina joined colleagues from around the world to keep a minute of silence in honour of their foreign service colleagues who lost their lives during service abroad.
“Today the embassy in Pristina joined colleagues worldwide in maintaining a moment of silence to honour the memories of our foreign service colleagues who lost their lives during the service for the United States abroad. We are grateful for their service and sacrifice, and we proudly remember them on this Day of Foreign Affairs”, Houvenier wrote, the Paparaci broadcasts.
Also, during the day, the US Embassy announced that they have named three conference halls honoring former State Secretary Madeleine Albright, Deputy High Officer David Gibbs and other senior Deputy Officer Kevin Reichert.
In announcing the US Embassy in Kosovo, the appointment of these conference halls reportedly expresses gratitude for the contribution of three figures for advancing US government efforts to end the Kosovo ethnic cleansing campaign by Slobodan Milosevic.
