France reacts after operations in the North: Singlely Raised Tensions, Threatened Dialogue

According to France's Ministry of Foreign Affairs “these new unilateral actions contribute to the escalation of tensions and endanger continued discussions under the auspices of the European Union, aimed at finding a temporary solution for persons affected by the implementation of Kosovo Central Bank regulation”.
Further in response, Kosovo's actions reportedly influence the daily life of the Serb community in Kosovo and go against efforts to normalise relations with Serbia, the precondition for realising the European perspective of the two countries.
“Finance calls on Kosovo authorities to refrain from any further unilateral action. The two sides are encouraged to return to the negotiating table and work on the latest compromise proposal presented by European mediation, the only realistic basis for reaching an agreement allowing qualified beneficiaries to receive financial transfers from Serbia”, the announcement concludes.
