France says membership is considered later: Kosovo must cross the path required

French Minister for European Affairs Jean-Noel Barrot said today that France thinks there is a danger at this stage that the Kosovo issue will cause division among countries in the Council of Europe and that according to him “this issue should be considered later, when (Kosovo, v.j.) to cross the way that we believe is required for them [...]
He told reporters before the Council of Ministers session that France is one of the members of the Council of Europe that recognises Kosovo and believes that in the future Kosovo will be part of the KiE, reports Euronews branch in Belgrade, broadcast RTKlive.
“However, France thinks that in this direction, Kosovo still has to cross a certain path, and France is available to escort Kosovo to that road”, Barrot said, hinting that the issue of association is a condition for Kosovo's further route to the KiE.
