Escobar has praised some of Serbia's actions related to Ukraine and has said Serbia's political support for Ukraine is an indicator Serbia is seriously considering the strategic position. Here he mentioned the recent visit of the Ukrainian chief diplomat and the first lady of Ukraine to Belgrade.
However, it has said the US is extremely desperate with the fact that two UN-sponsored officials have been introduced as names to Serbia's new government. Escobar has said it will continue to express US expectations through diplomatic channels to Serbia.
The American diplomat has said Serbia's report to the US depends on certain conditions, how Serbia deals with neighbours, and how Serbia interacts with Euro-Atlantic partners.
