The UN details Allen's meeting with Osman

The US State Department has also announced Allen's visit to Kosovo, namely, her meeting with the President.
Adds support to the project Notification Says Allen and Osmani discussed advancing Kosovo on its path towards European and Euro-Atlantic integrations and the importance of close co-ordination for achieving that goal.
“Undersecretary and president discussed the strategic priority for advancing Kosovo on its path towards European and Euro-Atlantic integration and the importance of close co-ordination for achieving that goal. The Undersecretary stressed the benefits of regional economic integration and the importance of European and transatlantic values such as minority rights and media freedom”.
The two also signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to strengthen co-operation between the United States and Kosovo to combat manipulation of information from the foreign state. Kosovo is the fifteenth country in Europe, Africa, East Asia and North America that approves the US State Department's Framework for Counter-Manipulation of Foreign State Information”, writes the UN report.
“These countries have joined together in the joint recognition that manipulation of foreign state information, which includes dezination and propaganda, is a threat to transnational security that could create or exploit divisions within and between countries, jeopardise electoral integrity and undermine public confidence in government”.
“Through this memorandum of understanding, the United States and Kosovo aim to enhance information exchange, build capacity for critical programming against dezinformation and harmonise government policies about five key areas of action defined in the Framework. This expanded bilateral co-operation between the United States and Kosovo to combat the manipulation of information by foreign states advances the two countries' common interest in ensuring a global open, fact-based ecosystem of free information”, the UN report said.
