The Constitutional Court in Pristina has appointed a month of detention against defendants S. M, due to the suspicion that he committed criminal acts “Residence for activities against constitutional 48x1>, “Reservation of persons under international protection”, “Partnership in the crowd that committed criminal acts and hooliganism” and “Attack on the official person”, over the May riots in Zvecan.
The court through a media communiqué has indicated “that there are legal reasons for the detention, in view of the way and circumstances in which criminal acts were committed, especially the social risk of criminal acts, the consequences that have hurt many KFOR members, police officials, journalists and other citizens, as well as numerous material damage from burning and physical damage, show enough that the defendant, if protected in freedom, would try to change the evidence of the criminal work, by influencing other suspects who are found as free and other witnesses, as well as in a concrete case, and the defendant's escape of the same danger, by taking the same consideration as the S. M is also a citizen of Serbia, and if left in freedom, you can escape, so in this case the detention assignment is necessary and more than reasonable”.

“The defendant S.M. allegedly joined a group suspected of having been part of an organised protest with a date of 29.05.2023 in front of the Zvecan municipality object, attacking members of KFOR and members of the Kosovo Police as well as using foam has attempted to block the ventilation of the police car in which in those moments were confined to police officials' cars, and the purpose of the defendants was to stop providing oxygen by seriously risking police officials' lives, what of this defendant fulfilled all the elements of the criminal works that were allegedly reported in the report.
