Commanded anti-drug operation, coded “Restart 17”, to hit another drug trafficking attempt.
He's in the 46-year-old handcuffs, allegedly trafficking narcotics vehicles, towards northern Macedonia.
There are 53.3kg of suspected narcotic cannabis, a vehicle, and two mobile phones.
Experts in the DVP Korca Narcotics Investigation Section, following several months of investigation, conducted for the crackdown on cross-border crimes, as well as the ongoing implementation of measures under national operational plans” The Temple” and “Rule of law”, in charge of the prosecution, in collaboration with DVKM Korc successfully finalised the police operation codenamed “Restart 17”.
As a result of this operation, the citizen was arrested in French:
- E. G., 46, resident of Korca.
During the second-line search, at the beginning of the Republic of Albania, at the Qafe Border Cross Point, police services found in the “Volkswagen” vehicle that this citizen was running, 53.3kg of suspected narcotic substance cannabis sativa, divided in the package. The amount of drugs, which allegedly would be trafficked to northern Macedonia, was seized in the quality of material evidence, along with two mobile phones and vehicles.
Investigations are under way for the full record of the case and the legal responsibility of other citizens involved in this criminal activity.
