British Embassy concerned: Yesterday's police actions in northern Kosovo risk escalating tensions

The Great Britain Embassy in Kosovo has said that Kosovo Police Action in the four northern municipalities could affect escalation of the situation.

In a response to this embassy, Kosovo institutions are called on to co-ordinate operations with international partners, stressing engagement in easy dialogue by the European Union to resolve such issues.

“We are concerned that yesterday's police actions in northern Kosovo risk escalating tensions and making it difficult to resolve the long-term currency issue in Kosovo. We encourage Kosovo authorities to co-ordinate actions with international partners and engage constructively with the EU-led dialogue to resolve such issues”, it says in response.
