US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller says the state secretary has reiterated his country's opposition to an Israeli attack on the busy town of Gaza, Rafah, in talks with the Israeli prime minister, who has pledged to continue offensive.
Blinken “reiterated the United States' clear position for Rafah” two days after Blinken again voiced opposition to an attack on security concerns of civilians sheltered in the southern town of Gaza, Miller said.
At his meeting with Netanyah, Blinken also noted the improvement of aid shipments to Gaza “and reiterated the importance of speeding up and maintaining this upgrade”, the State Department said, Al Jazeera.
