AstraZeneca has begun the worldwide withdrawal of its Cavido-19 vaccine, due to a <x0-tentrice of updated vaccines available” aimed at new strains of the virus.
On May 7th, the European Barnets Agency issued an announcement that the vaccine is no longer authorised for use, the Telegraph broadcast.
In a statement, AstraZeneca said the decision was made because there is now a variety of newer available vaccines that have been adapted to target the variants of Covid-19.
This had led to a decline in demand for the AstraZeneca vaccine, which is no longer being produced.
According to independent estimates, over 6.5 million lives were saved in the first year of use, and over 3 billion doses were supplied globally”, the statement said.
Our “efforts have been recognised by governments worldwide and widely considered a critical component of the end of the global pandemic. We will now work with our regulators and partners to connect to a clear road ahead, to conclude this chapter and the significant contribution to the David-19” pandemic, it was said among other things. /Telegraphy/
