At the sixth meeting of the European Integration Ministerial Council, he said the remaining in force of these measures is also in conflict with the efforts to accelerate the integration of the Western Balkans into [...]
Regarding Kurt's statement, EU spokesman Peter Stano has reacted.
Stano has said discussions on abolishing the measures against Kosovo are continuing as he adds that the same will be removed at the moment when EU member states decide.
Stano has suggested that this decision belongs to member states, not to Kosovo politicians.
When the EU presented measures against Kosovo, the cause of crises, unilateral decisions in relation to Serbia, the European Union was clear that they are returnable. So they will be removed when member states decide, I repeat when member states decide, not when Kosovo politicians decide. So when member states decide that there is no more reason to keep the measures in place. And this has not happened so far, member states continue discussions and these are internal processes”, he said at a news conference.
