The American Oda believes that the “definition of oil products prices directly violates the principles of a free market economy, negatively affecting the operations of companies that trade oil fuels, thus threatening their economic sustainability”.
“Such interventions pose some risks to private sector companies, including financial instability, market disorder, lower competition, supply chain cuts and legal and regulatory risks”, it has said O EAK in response sent to the media.
The American Oda considers interpretation by the Ministry of Law to be wrong. 08/ L-018 for Renewable Oil and Fuel Products, praising that “neither of the cases cited in Article 15 of the Law continues to be applicable”.
The U.S. “Oda reminds top officials of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Trade that the free competition market economy is the basis of the economic adjustment of the Republic of Kosovo. In recognition of the constitutionality of a similar legal act, specifically the Law No. 08/ L-179 for the Co-ordination Measures of Founding Products at Special Destabilisation in the Market, the Constitutional Court has found that the provisions of this law were not in line with the highest legal act of the Republic of Kosovo, declaring it invalid in its entire body”, the American Oda further says.
Given these conclusions, the American Economic Oda in Kosovo calls on the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Trade, and Government of Kosovo to immediately revote the decision to determine the price of oil.
This action would demonstrate commitment to respecting the Constitution, promoting rule of law and avoiding interference tendencies in the free market economy, thus avoiding the risks facing private sector companies, as well as promoting a more stable and competitive business environment”, OECA has said.
