AGK condemns MP public investigation, Dimal Basha against RTK journalist Blerta Foniqi Kabashi
On the day when Reporters Without Borders' report has exposed Kosovo to its worst position in a decade in terms of media freedom, the ruling political party, Vetevendosje Movement, has witnessed in practice the disturbing findings of this report.
MP Dimal Basha has compared the public broadcaster, RTK with Serbian state television, RTS when asked by journalist Blerta Foniqi Kabashi for the condition of the Association for Kosovo membership at the Council of Europe.
I can see how each Albanian sees it. In Serbia's RTS they can follow up on the main concern of association. In Kosovo's RTK, I don't need any more than the Association... did I explain that there is a Kosovo agreement? Why are you making the point if I have to do the Association or not? We know what the main theme is”, Basha said.
AGK, commends colleague Foniqi Kabashi for the professionalisation shown in the interview with MP Basha against the MP's inappropriate behaviour.
Basha in this interview has also attacked the Kosovo Journalists' Association for the work it does to protect journalists and media.
