Africa Gashi resigns from position as chairman of the Alternative

Africa Gashi has resigned from the post of president of the Alternative, today until a Central Assembly of this political subject was held in northern Macedonia.

The report said that the reason Gashi resigned was his running for the chairman of the Northern Macedonia Assembly.

“At the final meeting of the Central Alternative Assembly, held on Thursday (May 23rd 2024), Africa Gashi's candidacy for the chairman of the Republic of Northern Macedonia” was discussed.

Because the RMV constitution, its 67th article, defines that the chairman of the republican assembly cannot be the president or official of a political party, Afrim Gashi, has resigned from the post of president of the Alternative and from all other positions of the party”, the announcement said.
