The advance of Kosovo's status in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly is being seen by the Democratic League of Kosovo as a contribution made by the entire political spectrum in the country, not only by the Kurti Government.

This party's MP, Anton Quinn, has said of Online Economy that Kosovo's integration into the Atlantic Alliance is articulation since the late former president, Ibrahim Rugova.

This case has been raised many years before the war, since the articulation made by President Ibrahim Rugova has always been repeated during the occupation when we have achieved freedom, and also when Kosovo's independence was declared. It means thanks to the entire spectrum, all personalities, all Kosovo citizens, and we should all welcome him together”, Quinn said.

Quinn added that advancing Kosovo's status in NATO's AP is a good opportunity for national security.

“has been welcomed by the entire political spectrum of Kosovo, as well as by the Democratic League of Kosovo, by the fact that our voice will now be heard at the NATO General Assembly. It is a good opportunity for all issues involving national security, not only in Kosovo, but also in the region, to be addressed in bilateral reports, but also in general with NATO authorities and representatives, on all issues that belong to us, but also NATO's own political-military organisation”, Quinn stressed.

On Monday, NATO's Parliamentary Assembly voted overwhelmingly in favour of advancing Kosovo's status from observer to associate member.

Currently, associate NATO members are nine, among them are Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
