About 360 Serbian citizens have applied to the Civil Record Agency to convert drivers from illegal to RKS, since the Ministry of Internal Affairs made a decision to enable them to change.
He has made it known, chief executive of the Civil Recording Agency (ARC), Blerim Camaj.
He has said this MPB decision was appropriate and necessary.
From May 9th through May 22nd, Serbian citizens are converting patent drivers. Their procedure is going well. Of the figures that have applied from the ninth to 22 are about 360 citizens. The decision was most necessary because these citizens registered squirrels in the RKS but did not have drivers of the Republic of Kosovo, so it was necessary that these citizens translate patents from illegal structures as well as complete in communications”, Camaj told EO.
After visa liberalisation, he added that great concern for Serbs has also been expressed for equipment with Kosovo passports.
Serbian citizens, even after visa liberalisation, even citizens in northern municipalities have increased strong interest in handling passports. It is noteworthy that the figures are very large compared to previous years. Since one January to 22 May, approximately 2 thousand Serbian citizens have been equipped with passports. That means through the four northern municipalities, but also in other Serb-run municipalities all Serbian citizens are interested in being equipped with passports”, he has said.
The ARC chief chief has said that at the country's level, about 22 thousand Kosovo citizens have applied to be equipped with passports.
“As far as citizens' demands are concerned following visa liberalisation, requirements increased, figures have increased from January to March. The total application from one January to 22 May is about 22 thousand passports that have applied Kosovo citizens. Now they are immediately equipped, the deadline from day-to-appreciated to supply is now down to the daily fals”, he said.
