Zvecan Mayor: Large number of citizens will participate in April 21st vote

Zvecan Mayor Ilir Peci said that given citizens' statements, a large number of them will not go to the polls for his dismissal. In an interview for Tv1, Peci said that, however, Sunday will be expected and see whether the referendum on his dismissal [...] will take place.
In an interview for Tv1, Peci said, however, that Sunday will be expected and see whether the referendum on his dismissal and the other three mayors of Kosovo's Serb majority northern municipalities will be held.
He said that so far there are no commissioners accredited by Serbian parties for these elections.
“According to citizens' statements, a large part of them have had contact with us, not (will not go to the polls), but now let's see, it's still early, to see by Sunday”, Peci said.
Asked whether the Serbian List has lost influence on this part of citizens, Peci said that with themselves declared not to be the majority, this party has lost the influence it has behind it in the past.
“Of course the Serbian List no longer has the impact on the north. Of course, the fact that you refuse it does not have the effect that if it did, they would make decisions and would emerge”, he said.
Asked whether I will continue the mandate and after April 21st, Peci said it is still too early to make this decision, but added that I will see and continue working.
On Sunday, April 21st, in four northern Kosovo municipalities: Zvecan, Zubin Potok, northern Mitrovica Leposaviq, will be voted in the referendum called by citizens for the dismissal of Albanian mayors elected in these municipalities in the April 23rd elections.
