DNA tests have become increasingly accessible by many people worldwide. They are already performed quickly and at a reasonable price by numerous international companies.
But a big trend, is that of performing the DNA test to detect origin. Neither are people missing from the Balkans, who have doubts about their origin, because the region in some cases has suffered, as has a mixture of origins and what is called a loss of origin.
Mostly a large number of Albanians -- from Nis -- to Montenegro, northern Macedonia and Greece have lost their origin, Albanian language and traditions over the years, believing they belong to another nationality.
But science is stubborn!
This has also been the case of one of (some) young Serbs who have decided to conduct the DNA test to find out it is only 18% Serb.
The results he has distributed to social networks.
“Dad is Serbian from Montenegro, and the mother is Serb from northern Kosovo. Here are my background and the results of Gedmatch K36. Is this typical?”, he writes surprised, awaiting some “scientist” in comments to comfort him with whydofacts.
Its results have emerged: 43% Albanian-Greek, 39% Balkans ( perhaps meaning Kosovo Albanian) and only 18% from Eastern Europe and Russia.
