The U.S. House of Representatives will vote next week for a pro-Israel resolution opposing calls for a ceasefire in Gaza, while Republicans increase their attacks on President Joe Biden on his stand on Israel Qaeda, and as the Democrats become increasingly critical of Israel's military strategy.
The symbolic resolution expresses support for Israel's “right to self-defense” in its bloody fight against Hamas and rejects efforts for “exerted unilateral pressure on Israel over Gaza, including calls for an immediate ceasefire, CNN writes.
The vote on the resolution ʹ which could block several Democrats ) will come a week after World Central Kitchen aid workers were killed in Israeli air strikes, sparking protests and sparking democratic criticism of the Israeli government.
