PDK GP chief Abelard Tahiri has said that with the formation of the Investigative Commission, they want to see the process as a whole how it is possible that with 30,000 less students will be paid triple the price for books.
Then, Tahiri says he may demand that he continue for more years.
It's not a matter we can deal with in an extraordinary session, it's not even a question we can do through a debate, it's the only possibility that we've been calling for the establishment of an Investigative Commission where we're going to shed light and maybe not prejudgmenting, it might turn out to have been better, and we can say to continue other years, we're prejudging. We're looking to look at the process because for the first time, it's stopped financing books and it's funded bills that parents bought. In 2016-2017, 247 thousand students in Kosovo have financed books with 6m and a half euros. In 2022-2023, with 30,000 less students, or about 210 thousand students in Kosovo were bought 19m euros. Is it possible to see in this process why it's up to the price increase, so we judge. Let's see what's been done with 30 thousand less students with us at triple price”, he said.
