He confirmed that the UK sent additional “aeroplane” to the region as part of already under-developing operations in Iraq and Syria.
The consequences for regional stability would be difficult to overestimate” if Iran's attack on Israel was successful, he said.
This was a dangerous and unnecessary escalation, which I condemned in the harshest terms.
“Thanks to a co-ordinated international effort in which the UK participated, almost all these missiles were seized, saving lives not only in Israel but also in neighbouring countries like Jordan. ”
Earlier this morning, we reported how Great Britain had deployed additional planes and fuel planes to an air base in Cyprus, where the United Kingdom already has a dislocation operating against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.
The aircraft were granted permission to crash any Iranian missiles or fears as part of that mission, which means that they were operating near Syria and Iraq's airspace, and not on Israel.
The planes were filling up American planes that would otherwise have participated in the Iraq/Siri mission, so American planes were released to focus on the Israeli mission.
