School teacher “Prizren's access” Valentin Selmanaj has been sentenced to more than 15 years in prison because of a sexual assault on a school student in June 2023.
Under the Constitutional Court's decree in Gjakova, Professor Selmanaj has been barred from practicing the profession.
“Judge body after counseling and voting, has found the defendant guilty of criminal acts that are placed on him, and has convicted him of a unique prison sentence of 15 years and six months for two acts of burden, as well as a supplemental punishment preventing the exercise of the profession or duty in permanent duration”It says in decision.
The decision has been said to have taken into account the fact that Selmanaj is home to the two injured, the student who sexually attacked and the other who recorded it.
