The prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has today travelled to Romania's capital, Bucharest, where he will participate in the conference organised by the European Socialist Party (PES), under preparations for European elections in June of this year.
During his stay there, the prime minister will have meetings with representatives and leaders of various sister-like parties.
The EPS will hold today's conference and governing meeting in Bucharest. The joint candidate of the group will participate. EPS for European Elections Nicolas Schmit, EPS President Stefan Lofven, Romania's Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, Germany's Chancellor Olaf Scholz, S&D President and EPS Executive Vice President Iratxe García, Katarina Barley from SPD Germany and the EPS executive vice president.
The European Socialists' Party (PES) is a social and progressive European political party. The EPS consists of national-level political parties from all European economic zone states (EEA).
Otherwise, European citizens elect European Parliament MPs in June.
The elections will be held on June 6th and 9th 2024, meanwhile, citizens of the 27 member states will elect 705 European Parliament deputies, who will have a mandate from 2024 to 2029.
