At the meeting, Osmani and Borg have discussed the co-operation of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo with the OSCE, including OSCE support in the past and current co-operation with local institutions. President Osmani was briefed on the priorities of Minister Borg and Malta as this year's OSCE leader.
The meeting has also discussed bilateral reports between Kosovo and Malta, Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe, as well as recent political developments in the region.
In discussion with Minister Borg, Osmani has said Kosovo continues to be at the forefront of progress in the region and more broadly in strengthening the rule of law and democracy, as well as promoting human rights.
In that spirit, Osmani argued that Kosovo's membership in Euro-Atlantic institutions would be triumph for democracy and human rights not only in Kosovo, but throughout Europe.
President Osmani expressed gratitude and reaffirmed the importance of Malta's continued support in this direction, as in any other process of membership in international organisations.
