Unfortunately, we're all up this morning with the terrible news of the murder of even one woman by her husband. This terrible phenomenon that is hurting our society and our country, this childicide, which has unfortunately taken enormous proportions, must be stopped at any cost. And the only way to stop it is if we're all re-awaken as society, as a country, as a nation. We reawaken against this phenomenon again because we are not the lives of girls and women to lose”, Osmani said.
Osmani said this event took place a day after the launch of the second edition of the Forum for Women, Peace and Security, where violence against women was discussed.
I call on all of you, civil society activists, security institutions and justice, citizens, women and men together to stop gender-based violence once and for all, which is damaging our state and can destroy it inside”, Osman added.
The murder in Pec is the second case within five days in Kosovo when women were killed by their former partners or partners.
