Osmani: KLA testified to the soul, unmovable courage for our freedom

According to her, like many chapters in our history of war, courage, sacrifice, and determination are summed up in the Battle of Kosare.

This armed resistance preceded peaceful resistance under the leadership of the historic president, architect of Kosovo's independence, Dr. Ibrahim Rugova. This peaceful resistance for nearly a decade has challenged the injustice of the Serbian criminal regime, united all Albanians about the cause of freedom, independence and democracy, and turned inspired for the world by marking the turn of peaceful resistance with the greatest impact on modern history because it resulted not only in the unification of Albanians in one purpose but also in building powerful alliances that helped us by preventing exactly the extermination aimed at the Serbian regime”, Osmani said.

The country's first stressed that the philosophy of the protection of the house threshold was gradually transformed into a necessary need for general protection of our house-Kosovo.

“Despite his house's threshold, our leader, Adem Jashari, together with the family, led the war in defense of our dignity and freedom rights”, she said.

Adding that they fell on the altar of freedom and are now the permanent flame of our freedom and state.

There were no geographical limits for Albanians wherever they were. In a natural way, then, the line of freedom fighters was joined by our exile and by many warriors from Albania and other Albanian parts. Many early national resistance activists, many superiors and military professionals after preparations joined the ranks of our liberation army”, she stressed.

According to her, after the successful battle of Loxha, which took place in 1998, several KLA units, reproduced at the 138 Brigade, were reshuffled and prepared for the largest military operation of the Kosovo Liberation Army, later known as the Kostare Battle, which marked one of the most successful KLA war battles against forces of Serbia's genocide regime.

“in this battle, launched on April 9, 1999, Operational Group 3, under the leadership of trained military officers such as: Rrustem Berisha, Agim Ramadani, Sali Cekaj, Anton Quinn, and many others, managed to realise the breach of the Albanian-Albanian border. After two days of fierce fighting, in the field of honour fell the unremarkable military strategist, the inspirer of all fighters, painter, poet, and multidimensional artist Agim Ramadani ãomant Katana, whose name was later baptized Brigade 138. Although great defeat for war, the fall of Commander Agim Ramadani added strength, motivation and determination to have his ideal and trust, fellow fighters reach the end of”, Osmani stressed.

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, at the solemn session of the Kosovo Assembly on the 25th anniversary of the Kostares Battle, said that at the continuation of the Stoic freedom efforts, the altar of freedom also fell on major activities and patriotism, one of the leaders of the first armed units and trained along with Adem Jasharin of Zahir Pajazitin, as well as one of the main leaders of Beteta and Brigagada, Sali Cekaj-Terani.

It devoted a lifetime to the entire country, taking place at the forefront of all processes for freedom and independence. According to the country's first, Kosovo Liberation Army fighters, in the Battle of Kostare, as well as in all battles, throughout Kosovo, testified to the self-reproaching spirit and commitment to granting everything their homeland, that is, the most basic value of life.

“Supporting our allies, the North Atlantic Alliance NATO, with the United States leading the United States, fulfilled the mission to free Kosovo”, Osmani said.
