Osmani fails, urges EU to immediately remove measures against Kosovo

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has said that Kosovo gave citizens of northern municipalities the opportunity to dismiss current mayors and elect new mayors.

It through a Facebook post has called on the EU to immediately remove measures against Kosovo.

He added that once again, Serbia conducted illegal interventions in an election process of another state, and Vucinciqi violated the word it had given to international partners.

However, Kosovo again witnessed caution, organisation and full respect of laws and constitution, offering all communities, indiscriminately, the possibility of them choosing for themselves who wants to represent them. I thank the Central Election Commission, our security institutions, and our partners for our work, commitment and cooperation. With the organisation of today's process, Kosovo has met all conditions required by the EU. The unfair measures against Kosovo must be removed immediately”, it has written.
