It becomes known that Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe, recent developments in the country and the region, and security challenges were discussed at the meeting.
“On the theme of the Council of Europe, President Osmani stressed that Kosovo's membership would be triumph for democracy and human rights not only in Kosovo, but throughout Europe. On the other hand, President Osmani reiterated that through the various mechanisms the Council offers to the Council would enable protection and guaranteeing the rights of all Kosovo citizens, indiscriminately”, the presidency's announcement said.
The first state during the meeting with Peach also spoke of the security situation, with particular emphasis on the country's north.
“President Osmani expressed gratitude and reiterated the importance of continued support of the United Kingdom in this respect, as in any other process of membership in international organisations”, the report said.
