The latest murders in the country, Osman meets the v/U.D. Chief State Prosecutor, Other Justice Officials Calls Harm of Punishment

The meeting has discussed women's killings and the urgent need to implement the Penal Code's punitive provisions correctly.

Osmani called on justice institutions to urgently take all measures under legislation in force for prosecutors and judges, who pronounce sentences and state convictions that are not in line with the Republic of Kosovo Criminal Code and the guide for penal policies.

The president of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has held a meeting with KDP Chief Chairman Albert Zogaj, U.D. deputy. State chief prosecutor Agron Qalaj, and National Coordinator for domestic violence cases by Chief State Prosecutor Sevdije Morina's office.

At the meeting, President Osmani reiterated deep concern over the alarming phenomenon of women's murder, as well as the urgent need to implement the penal provisions of the Republic of Kosovo. President Osmani also laid out the need to implement the punishment policy guide in cases of domestic violence and gender-based violence, as well as to work in the direction of this policy.

In this direction, President Osmani called on justice institutions to urgently take all measures under legislation in force for prosecutors and judges, who pronounce sentences and state convictions that are not in line with the Republic of Kosovo Criminal Code and the guide for penal policies.

Also, on the 25th anniversary of the Poklek and Old Chikatova massacre, President Osmani called on justice institutions to urgently question survivors of these massacres in order to establish justice for victims.
