The long silk sleeve dress marked a new world record for the most expensive dress “Pucci” sold at auction.
The auction, which won a total of $4m, featured a number of other articles once owned by Monroe, including film costumes, makeup, clothing of the late legend, as well as hundreds of articles the late founder of Hefner magazine left on his property after his death in September 2017 at the age of 91.

Recently, an old fan from Marilyn Monroe is spending $300,000 on campaigning for the Academy to offer her a prize for eternal achievements in Oscar, claiming her talent was “raped” from the entire industry.
Artist Michael Mobys is trying to make the late icon, which changed its life more than six decades ago, appreciate its services in film and entertainment.
He has planned a total of $30,000 to draw the attention of Academy directors before this year's ceremony.
